State Bank of India has invited online applications for the recruitment of 1500 PO Posts 2026. It is the official “game on” moment for banking aspirants across India. The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially dropped its highly anticipated SBI PO 2026 Notification (Advt No: CRPD/PO/2026-27/09), announcing a total of 1,500 vacancies for Probationary Officers.

Of the 1,500 available seats, SBI has divided them into 1,446 regular openings and 54 backlog vacancies. The category-wise split looks like this:

  • Unreserved (UR): 588 posts
  • OBC: 390 posts
  • SC: 234 posts
  • ST: 144 posts
  • EWS: 144 posts
  • Horizontal reservation includes 61 slots for PwBD candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

You must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Final Year Students: If you are in your final semester or year, you can apply provisionally. The only catch is that you must be able to produce valid proof of passing your graduation on or before September 30, 2026, if called for an interview.

1. Access the Careers Portal: Step 1.

Head over to the updated official portal at www.sbi.bank.in/web/careers and navigate to the “Current Openings” tab.

2. New Registration: Step 2.

Find the “Recruitment of Probationary Officers 2026” link and click on Apply Online. Select “Click here for New Registration” and input your basic details (phone, email) to generate your unique registration credentials.

3.Upload Scan Documents: Step 3.

Log in with your newly generated ID. Upload a crisp, passport-sized photo, your signature, your left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration strictly adhering to the file sizes mentioned in the PDF guidelines.

4. Fill Academic & Personal Details: Step 4.

Complete your educational background, category specifications, and choose your preferred exam center locations carefully.

5. Application Fee Payment: Step 5.

Pay the non-refundable fee online. It is ₹750 for General, EWS, and OBC candidates. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are completely exempt from the fee.

6. Print & Save: Step 6.

Submit the form, save the confirmation page, and print a hard copy of your completed application form for your future interview verification files.
